Does anyone even listen to/care about newer Satyricon? I don't know of anyone that enjoys them beyond Rebel Extravaganza and most don't even go that far.

It works well live. "Now Diabolical" is a really straight forward type song, but I can tell you that with them playing it back to back with "Nemesis Divina", it worked really well.

From an album perspective, yeah, "Dark Medieval Times" all the way. It's more pagan, less black.

I wonder if Lord Belial would draw?

I've never heard them. How big/poular are they compared to, say, Ancient Rites or Horna? Both those bands have previously been considered for headlining HC....but I don't think they would draw either way.

I think HC needs to go for a collection of "mid-size" bands rather than the one big headliner.

I have a dream....

After Agalloch wraps up their "grains" set, Destroyer 666 take to the stage, followed closely by Melechesh, after which Enslaved play fan-picked songs from across their entire catalog, with Satyricon headlining and ultimately calling it a day.

Can I hear a "hell yeah".
