help build my knowledge

Hey folks. OK. I have the guitar, now I need everything else.
I'm looking for recommendations on:

A decent sounding amp for a reasonable price(I'm talking 100 bucks or under)
what strings(and guage) to buy?
A good quality metal pedal.( i was thinking the metalcore)by KORG?? not sure.
A decent,reasonably priced guitar tuner.
And anything else I should really buy as a beginner.

Also...if anyone has a recommendation for a great book or dvd on how to get started playing metal ,that would be appreciated as well. Unfortunatly guitar lessons are kinda out of the question for right now so anything I'm learning is self taught from a book or DVD.

Fender is selling cheap amp that is below $100 but for reasonably priced for guitar tuner I am not sure why you said that most of guitar tuners only cost below $20.

amp: 15 watt or less for $100 bucks, your not gonna get much with that. Probably a fender like psylocke advised

strings: what kind of guitar, how is it set up, and what kind of metal are you playing?

pedal: if you only have a $100 bucks for an amp the last thing i would worry about is a pedal.

tuner: anything usually, you don't need anything crazy, just ask one of the employees at a guitar shop vendor in your area

Not too sure what to recommend to a beginner for books or DVD, you might as well do mel bay or suzuki method or something like that and work up from there.
