just got home from toronto and I have to say this was the most fun i've had at a show ever. period. I just saw alice cooper & dio the other day and if i had to pick between the shows this one wins. wow.

I mean i know there were only like 20-30 people that showed up for the show but the band was just crazy good. hit everything and were picture perfect.

Oh, and Henning Basse is a million times better than Apollo. I wish he was the full time singer :headbang::worship:

ps: I caught a pick  lol

Seriously, only 20-30 people? That's it?

maybe like 50 total in the building (that's a stretch)

only 20-30 up front, 10 of that moshing. it was insane. i'd expect this from a small local band but to me Firewind are one of my favorite bands ever, so this was the equivalent to me of seeing something like Judas Priest at nearly a private listening
:OMG:

I'll admit it was exactly like that when I saw them at Peterborough. About 50-70 people in the building max.

And I was the very front row and there were no barriers so I could literally touch the band if I wanted to. And because of this me and my boyfriend sang Between Heaven and Hell with Apollo ^_^

Like Mat said, Firewind being my all-time favourite band it was indeed like having a private showing. I was well happy.

could?

I don't know about you but I touched Gus's guitar (well he let alot of us, he got all close during the solos) and we all got high-5's and shit :headbang: I'm still a day later reeling from the intensity of it

Man, how long do you guys think till they come back to Canada? 2 years?

what a fantastic show! FIREWIND kicked major ass!! I play guitar for Heaven Ablaze... we were direct support to firewind at this Toronto show, which was great to share the stage with Gus and the guys!

I was surprised at the turn out... but everyone had a good time and the poeple that we're moshing.... we're moshing hard! haha Good times!:kickass:

The venue they are playing here in NH only holds... 150 maybe 175 tops.. same venue had Edguy a few weeks ago... its a great place to see these guys, i love small clubs.

OMG you guys should know that Toronto is the most boring city in Canada !!

in Quebec city, the place was full and it was great!

dont blame canada, blame borin' Toronto lol

almost forgot... Apollo is better then Henning. period. he had hard times with smooth vocal parts and forgot a line in the "falling to pieces" chorus...

Aye...he forgot the vocals a lot at his BOA set.

LOL. Han remember - "STOP MAKING ME DOUBY MYSELF!!!" LMAO!

But yeah...I'll need to visit Canada one day. And so far Quebec is looking to be the favourite...ALTHOUGH...

Doesn't Quebec speak French? DAMN FRENCHIES! :p

Yeah, Toronto sure is boring being a major North American city (and having everything). I'd much rather be in Quebec with it's crazy drivers and non-existant metal scene :puke:

And Apollo was the major reason Allegiance was a sub-par album. Hennig is and was....godlike. Way more vocal range and fits much better with the power metal style.....christ he was amazing for Tyranny

Oh you're gonna get ripped on by Kirsty cos you said Apollo made Allegiance sub-par XD This is gonna be fun...

Oh and Kirsty? Damn Frenchies? You're damning a part of me? ME?!?! Blame Quebec for not getting the French language correctly... Quebecois French is hilarious though, I had a chat with Kataklysm on Friday after the show and I was gigglesnorting inside my head when I was talking to them...

Bitter much?

OH NO YOU DIDN'T. OH NO YOU DIDN'T JUST GO THERE.

Oh my GOD. You don't understand the concept. I'll ignore the Apollo comment for the minute. But the concept of Firewind is SO much more than just 'power metal'. They aren't looking for a singer with that kind of vocal range. They want a more gritty, bluesy, powerful and full of raw emotion type sound. Not soaring falsetto screams. That's what makes then unique to the genre. Fair enough Henning is a good vocalist in his own right, in his own style, in his own band. In Metalium he is note perfect. Knows all the words and his singing fits. Like a piece of a jigsaw. Unlike with Firewind. Where he is the jigsaw piece that doesn't fit.

I think Allegiance is our best album to date

Oh yeah.

But seriously. Yeah. /end.

Spike. I don't mind that yer a Frenchy. Cause yer well cool.

Did you know how close that half of me got to playing you guys in the Quarters in Rugby? :p I could be your most hated enemy and you'd still find me "well cool" :p
