horror movie hoe-down!!!

The Yellow Wallpaper. Not quite based on the short story, but I rather enjoyed it. If you like period piece horror, you might like this one. Didn't see that ending coming, wtf?!

"The Yellow Wallpaper (Motion Picture) is an "Origins Myth"... rather than a direct adaptation of the famous Charlotte Perkins Gilman story. Drawing from the original short story and a number of Gilmans' other gothic works (The Giant Wisteria, The Unwatched Door, etc.), The Yellow Wallpaper is an original narrative of events that unfold around the actual writing of "The Yellow Wallpaper" short story."

Just finished watching this. Considering that Tara Reid and her horrible acting and poorly attached wig stick out like a sore thumb, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Cloris Leachman is awesome as a chain-smoking, foul-mouthed, loving grandma to a child with awesome hair. Not a ripoff of Children of the Corn, either.

Exit Humanity. Civil War-era zombie movie. Kinda long and slow at times, and the revelation of how the zombies came to be was disappointing. Still, kinda decent!

Blood Runs Cold was pretty good. Fairly standard madman picking people off but I really enjoyed the killer's...presence.

edit: Munger Road was also a lot of fun. Nothing hasn't necessarily been done before but really well executed with an ending that makes you think "no fucking way did they just do that".

I haven't seen a new good horror flick in awhile, I am trying to find a copy of Gingerclown though, sounds like an awesome b-movie(tim Curry is in it!) and early October there's a horror movie fest outside of Denver and Pinhead is going to be there and the black dude from the original Dawn of the Dead, i'll probably check it out.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but I reco In the House of the Devil. It's available via Netflix DVD/Blu-Ray.
Enjoy.

Paranormal Activity 4 was just as good as 1 and 2. Not as good as 3, that is the best. I say screw the haters, these are fun flicks.

I watched Altered upon suggestion of a coworker. Same guy that lent me Piranha 3D. Fool me once, etc. Atrocious movies.

I watched that new Hansel & Gretel movie. It sucked, but was fun suck, so that was pretty cool. Don't get me wrong, the movie is lame as shit, so don't watch it without knowing that. But with that, why not?

Have I mentioned Don't Look Now in this thread? It was fucking glorious! Fantastic for fans of things like The Changeling, highly recommended. Sure I love '80s cheese horror more than anything, but '70s serious horror is fucking grand.

Maybe this is more thriller than horror, but Perfect Blue was fucking cool. Except apparently I grow annoyed by screaming Japanese women. I don't feel bad, I just want them to hush up. Otherwise, a little weird and a lot good.

I watched The Witches for the first time since in the movie theatre 24 years ago. It's definitely an '80s thing (or early '90s, whatever), akin to Something Wicked This Way Comes in that it's a lot of ehh, but what is good is VERY GOOD. In this one, Anjelica Huston is probably the hottest woman ever in purple. Like whoa.

Indiana Jones and the Kingcom of the Crystal Skull is the most horrifying movie I've ever seen. I literally wanted to gnaw my own face off by the end, so that I could feel no more and end my days on the couch right there. So bad. So, so bad.

I reorganized my Netfux the other day to contend with pending Halloween doom. On deck for Horror Movie Hoe-down 2013:

The Exorcist 3
God Told Me To
Friday the 13th: Part 2
Demon Seed
Child's Play
Halloween 4
Vacancy
Mama
Jeepers Creepers 2
The Orphanage
Vampyr
The Eye

Then I have a few random flicks before commencing November Horror Movie How-down 2013.

Just recently watched Don't Look Now, thought it was crap! I remember seeing it on a Horror movie thing on Bravo or E years ago and finally watched it..wasn't happy with it

"WRONG!"

I think as a horror movie it's okay. But as a film, it was grand. In particular, I adored the scene leading up to the sex scene, and then said scene itself. Along with, well, everything else.

I still think House of the Devil is Ti West's worst movie. It was an utter bore to me until the last 10 or so minutes. I enjoyed The Innkeepers more and I don't think Ti West has topped The Roost yet.

Anywho, recently watched some movie called Kiss of the Damned. Vampire movie that was light on plot but heavy on style. Definitely enjoyable with some hot chicks and boobs.

I used to flood my Netflix queue with horror movies around mid September until the end of October. But at some point over the last year or so it's been a year round horror. There's at least one horror movie a weekend being viewed by the woman and I.

This is exactly what happened to me a few Octobers ago. Now I literally watch 90% horror movies, which is pretty neat. In fact, it is the film equivalent of :kickass: I must say.

Has anyone seen this one?

I can't say this is scary, but it's definitely a brilliant psychological thriller/horror. Oh, and apologies for invading your space, I guess.
You appear to be an attractive female on a heavy metal forum, or reasonable facsimile thereof, which counts as the same on the internet really. I don't see anyone rejecting your contributions here, even if they are lame. In this case, they are not! I liked A Tale of Two Sisters. I think something was lost in the translation at the end though, I was very confused. Or perhaps my feeble mind just couldn't comprehend, not really sure. Probably worth watching a second time, some day perhaps I shall!
