undo, you're what, 19 years old, tops? i'd say living at a country your whole life makes you much more mexican than you'll ever be british. sorry dude. but trying to pass of as from another country just cause you came out of your mom's vagina in some hospital there sounds terribly pathetic.

I'm syrian+lebanese on my father's side and german from my mother's
I can more or less understand a bit of german, and i can speak only a few words and phrases. And i don't know shit about german grammar. I wish i could speak it well, though. Beautiful language.solefald said:aha that explains your interest and cabability to see lots of german movies.
godd to know. kannst du auch deutsch sprechen?
When i was little, both english and spanish. After my brother was born, my parents figured it would be easier to only use spanish, but we still used a little english. Now i can only speak spanish because the landowners don't know shit of english (as far as i know).solefald said:by the way which language do you speak at home?
Great. You're kind of in the same situation as me (two languages), with the exception that you had to learn english and now you know three languages.solefald said:as my mom is french and I was born in france, but my father is german we always speak 2 languages at home. so its easy to learn

See, i wasn't raised in a mexican family. I wasn't brought up following mexican standards/customs, my family never gave any importance to mexican holidays and whatnot, and i never had any sense of nationalism, at least not for this country. All my life i've moved around in social circles composed of mexicans and foreigners, and most of the mexicans i've befriended/known have foreign ancestry, like myself. I'm syrian+lebanese on my father's side and german from my mother's. And i'm not proud of this country; quite on the contrary. I've never felt mexican, and i don't think i ever will, and i don't want to, so that's fine by me.
I know die Frage wasn't for me, but still...., Ich kann Deutsch sprechen (es geht ).solefald

Lil' Bloodred Ridin' Hood said:Good for you
(cual dia en mayo? Yo tambien cumplo en myo, pero 20 anios)
Do you plan to learn more? Imo, it's not really a pretty language. It's just.. eh.solefald said:thx.yeah thats good to know 3 languages. I know a little bit spanish, but just enough for short smalltalk or to order food and things like that.
I know. I didn't say "yes" to his question about whether he'd written it correctly, i said "yes" to his statement that german isn't simple but can quickly be learned by an english-speaker.Malaclypse said:^^ no

Due to the complexity of the many technical upgrades and improvements that were implemented with the migration of our services we have not yet been able to solve all ensuing problems since the re-launch over 14 days ago.
We regret that:
the stability of the dictionaries is not yet back to its usual standard;
the vocabulary trainer is suffering performance problems and users are still encountering problems when adjusting basic settings;
