How much money do you guys spend on music

the problem with buying music in bulk is I tend to not give albums enough attention and i miss a lot of good stuff. if i buy one or two cds at a time i can listen to it properly.

I agree. When you're constantly buying new CD's you don't have time to really process and enjoy them as you should and albums that might not be that accesible on a first listen get ignored. Myself, I usually buy 1 to 3 CD's a month. I have close to 500 CD's at last count.

Fuck the haters mate, ultimate respect to you for being a marine. One of my best mates in my current job was a royal marine commando and SBS sniper, and he's one cool motherfucker. I have respect for any serviceman or emergency services worker.

Fuck the civilians, they don't know. Most of these cunts have never even seen a corpse, let alone handled one or caused one.
Honestly, that is true. Military and emergency workers have had to deal with the basest and ugliest forms of human cruelty and engage in it at times. Much respect to military and cops/emergency room personnel and paramedics/firefighters. You're right, civilians do NOT know.

However, being a marine or in the military at all can make people into assholes. I have nothing but respect for Amarantus, though, for being a Marine (THE most difficult of the military branches in the US)

FUCK there was a lot more to this arguement than I saw.

The military has NEVER given an order to kill a baby. They HAVE accidently killed some, and those that do it on purpose or through a lack or effort in avoiding the situation that would cause the babie's death are PUNISHED. End of arguement.

Until you can come up with a way to eliminate the military and not get the shit kicked out of us, stfu.

I sound like a fucking conservative. I'm ashamed in myself.

how about the military stays in the US, and doesn't leave? for any fucking reason? how about that? protect america HERE, not someone else... does nobody realize that the whole "murdering the world to protect our freedom" thing is propaganda? anybody?

whatever... as far as i'm concerned, military = the cops... if you sign up for a job where people get shot/shot at, and you get shot/shot at, then no sympathy. if you signed up for a job cleaning poo in a traveling dog show, and you got shot, then i would say "wow that's pretty harsh!".

doing lots of pushups and forgetting how to think for yourself does not = instant respect, not from me at least. the military sells itself to potential applicants on the idea that "only the hardest can do this job", but literally anybody with moderate upper body strength could be a marine, as long as they didn't realize that it was bullshit and quit first. most do. they have my respect.

Excellent idea, and very true, the US has no business in Iraq, Iran, Isreal, or Afganistan. Protect America and stop there. It is very feasable to make terrorism extremly difficult to carry out in the US while not tramping on our freedoms.

Someone with a creative mind get into office PLEASE! War cannot make all of America's problems dissapear, no matter who it's against, how small or large it is, or how well carried out it is.

OK, I'm proud of the liberalism in THAT post. :)

Dude, do you not see the other side as well? We we're attacked. We had four planes used as guided missiles on our own turf. Why aren't you attacking the terrorist organizations? Why is the US so bad, but not a peep on how assholish the damned terrorists are? So their agression was warranted, but ours not? WTF?

And you accomplishing many great things in your life makes you the authority on how fucking idiotic marines are, right?

Americans' view of history generally tends to start at a point where America is "first" wronged/challanged by someone else... the government/media feeds us a story of how America was just a big peaceful happy baby, not hurting anybody, not extorting or blackmailing 2/3s of the world, not attempting to control the future of other nations with an almost god-complex-like obsession... and then the mean ol' terrorists decided that they hated our hamburgers and bad television and they started flying planes into our buildings and OMFG WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS?????

yeah, right.

you sound like every crotchety old "patriot" i've ever met.

the only thing our military fights to protect is their own right to end human life whenever they choose. the military justifies it's own existance by going around starting wars. then it's like "looky! there's a war! see, we are important! who would fight this war if we weren't here!?"

and the answer is....

nobody. without the military, nobody would be fighting.

get it?

so I finally went to Amoeba Music in Hollywood, and discovered a whole section devoted to Black, Death, Power and Thrash metal. They even have vinyls

I now know where my future paychecks will be going towards

they had Hellhammer's Apocalyptic Raids. I really should've picked that up because with my luck, it'll be gone the next time I go there

hardly any, though that'll change once I get a job. And I move to a place with a better selection hopefully.

i really need a job, too. i wont be able to work for the next two or three months because of an operation im getting, though.

hopefully ill win the powerball. if i did i would just buy my favorite bands.

The war on Iraq is a load of BS. Pre-emptive strike, shock and awe? To protest us from a terrorist strike that has nothing to do with Iraq (unless you seriously think there was a connection between al-queda and Iraq)? What is this BS? We killed far more iraqis in the name of counter-terrorism then the saddam hussein dictatorship ever would have if it was still standing. In fact, we made matters worse. How do we not realize that people fight back? We kill a man, and his son kills us. How many people died in 9/11? How many people did we kill? DOes it seem a little uneven to you. And, did you ever consider that terrorists are humans too? Some are a little blinded by faith, but seriously, we are the enemy, not rome. It isn't a bunch of idiotic crazy zealots, but people seeking revenge, justice and even freedom from the US. And the bombing is just unexcusable. That isn't innocents accidently killed because they were nearby possible terrorists, we killed the innocents. If you can't fight a war without killing innocent people, then you are worthless. Oh yeah, liberating the iraqis by killing them. How cute.
