Huge Complaint with the new Arch Enemy...

I know I shouldn't bother, but you know what, he said similar things on Symphony X's forum (even though some I agreed with), a lot of what he says is completely unfounded and ignorant.

This is Andy Sneap's forum, and James Murphy rocks it here too, and more than any musician, I have the utmost respect for these guys, because I guess you could say that on different levels, we work in the same field. And for this trash to come in here with his uninformed teen metal kid nonsense, is the last straw. Not on this forum.

Exactly bro. Don't bother with it and he will take off. Or better yet we should just get him banned by an admin. It is all that easy, no reason to waste Andy's, James', your and my time/nerves. :)
 
I just came in, made an offhand comment and thought nothing of it. I didn't even make this topic. Well, now I won't do that again here, as I see my views are not welcome. I'll just head back to General Music Discussion now.

After that barrage of childish name-calling, this is probably one of the most delightfully hypocritical things I've read in a while.

I honestly can't believe I'm reading all this HERE. I cannot believe this 'holier-than-thou' attitude that causes someone with a valid opinion to be dismissed, insulted and ultimately be forced to withdraw his remarks. This is truly disgusting... of all the places on the net I've seen this kind of crap, I honestly never thought it would happen here.

This pure unadulterated worship of everything Andy-related simply because of the fact that it IS is disgraceful. It's at the point where nobody is allowed to voice their opinion in contrast to the popular flow of the grain.

I personally don't like Arch Enemy either. The Amott brothers can smoke me all they want at guitar - I'm still not buying their music, because in my opinion it's mediocre at best, and many bands do (did) the style better than them.

I still haven't heard the new album, yet I'd presume Andy's production is stellar as always, but that doesn't necessitate that I have to like the music. For God's sake people - get over yourselves.

First off, I apologize for bringing that barrage of anger here, because this issue has bothered me long before it reached the forum. So again, sorry for bringing that end of it here.

And by the way, I don't LOVE everything Andy does, I just happen to recognize him as one of the few producers in the metal genre who is really making a difference these days, and bringing out the best in the acts that he is working with.
