I am going to blow up every fucking bank in North America.

Yeah, it fucking sucks. Credit card companioes need to stop fucking soliciting college campuses full of bonehead idiiots who have no good judgement at all when it comes to finances...like me back then. Funny thing is, they will probably be sending me cc applications in the mail 3 months from now. Fucking asshats. Its all fucked up.

Credit cards are THE DEVIL. Like I said before...fuck Satanism. We need some Creditcardism. Now that would be some serious shit right there.

That's why I don't have a credit card and hope to avoid it at all costs. A check card and cash is good enough for me.

Since getting a credit card my expenditures have doubled. I had to pay 1100 just yesterday. :erk:

Several years ago I really wanted a credit card, but couldn't get one from being in cheksystems for a $18 overdraft on an insufficiently funded written check. Now that I have a couple small ones that I'm satisfied with, I am bombarded by solicitations on an hourly basis by credit card companies trying to shill their new low interest rate, ball grabbing plastic death wand down my throat. Fuck that!!! Debt is the Devil.

It's damn near impossible to buy a house with cash and quite difficult to buy a car with cash if you want something that runs and is safe. That said, I, too, think it's a good idea to use cash for everything else.

I get three or four PER DAY. I recycle but it's still a hassle to walk it to my recycling can.

i have a friend who paid for a car with a backpack full of cash

this is the same friend that never graduated high school
haha awesome story
The only car we've never paid cash for is the current Subaru and we actually "own" it because I used a home equity loan.

Im gonna try to hire a lwayer who specializes in consumer debt and FDCPA stuff and see if I can settle. The lawyer fee alone will be worth it, since I would probably get nowhere on my own if trying to negotiate. All for a dumb letterhead.

im one of the few who actually open those credit card letters. hey, id rather open a new CC with no interest than pay 10%-20% interest. interest is stupid.

i always move my debt over to no interest cards, or at least cards with no interest on debt transfers. then i simply never use the card. this has save me thousands. and the debt is quickly going away. best case, get a card with a high limit, no interest, put everything you owe on it, and pay it off quickly

EDIT: and like dorian said, it's difficult to buy a house or car or furniture, appliances, luxuries, etc on a cash-only basis, unless mommy and daddy are helping.

credit cards arent inherently bad. it's using them unwisely that leads to people to think "it's all the credit card's fault!", simply because they cant manage finances.

I don't spend money on the creditcard if I don't have the money in my bank account.

Credit Card = fee free debit card/internet shopping tool

another super important thing dealing with credit cards is this:

having no credit cards or never using them = bad credit score

which means you might not get approved for that house or car you want to buy (unless paying strictly cash)

it's weird, but having debt and simply paying those bills on time gives you a great credit score, which is what mortgage companes and car dealers look at. they do not look at "oh this guy has no debt, and makes $70,000 a year, so no problem there". NOPE, he would be denied.

ive personally seen people that make $100,000+ get denied for a simple $2000 credit limit CC to buy a washer/dryer.

people really need to educate themselves on how to get a good credit score, because it's something that follows you all your life.

in the US anyhow...not sure about other countries.

this is true ... but also moving stuff constantly from one card to another is not as great on your credit score as you might think.

and if you do have a credit card with a high limit that you do not use ... you are better off cancelling it than keeping it. as if you keep it, it makes it look (if and when you apply for another loan) that you have all this unused credit out there ... so why do you need more?

it's not good at all, but it helps the pocket bok. also, when i open these new CCs for no interest, I always cancel the old card, so there is no unused credit out there.

this is true. however, NEVER EVER EVER cancel your oldest credit card, no matter what. it shows that you've have good credit going back to whenever that first card was opened.
