I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

Maybe he stole said bike? He was smiling quite a lot.

Thieves are like capitalism's independent contractors.

Even a stolen Harley eventually breaks down spectacularly. THE SMILE WEARS THIN ON THAT VERY MOMENT MY FRIEND.

Why you would contemplate leaving the holy grail of lands to THEN purchase a bike is beyond my comprehension good sir.

Therein lies the dichotomy of my So. Califuckian home.

What better place to ride? What better place to DIE?

Seriously, spend some time on the freeways out here.

I'd say at least 15% of drivers are completely asleep.

I won't drive a vehicle under 3,000 pounds for safety.

I don't believe in G-d, but physics shan't be denied.

Just bought a 2014 Mustang in black. Went for the 6 Cylinder. 305HP was enough for me. I didn't want the car payment or the gas bill that the 8 would bring. I am so loving this car. Tons of fun to drive.

Think of how much more fun if you had gotten the V8! It's the whole point of procuring a Mustang my friend!

BE UNREASONABLE!

Trade-in for GT500 asap.

If your idea of "fun" on a motorcycle in a place with twisties and mountainous regions is being on a highway you indeed do not deserve to own one.

PATOOEY!

 Yeah I mean 305hp is cool but I could never own a muscle car without going completely ridiculous. That being said, a V6 Mustang from today is still faster than many decades worth of V8 Mustangs, no? Half a dozen, 666 of the other.

And again, . You are right of course. But I would have to, you know, do my regular driving on said bike as well. I don't have the kind of $$$ to supply a triple vehicle household. Well, maybe I do, but I'm cheap, so I wouldn't. At the same time, I'm also a bit of a pussy. I don't think I'm cut out for a bike.

That reminds me, I raced a GT500 in my WRX a long time ago. It was when they first surfaced again and I didn't know WTF the specs were. It was pretty hilarious to watch that fucker absolutely disappear in front of me, and all I could think was "what in the hell kind of Mustang was that?!" I then later found the specs online and said  @ my 227hp car.

Cool purchase, Zod. 300 hp is an absurd amount of power. I'd like to know more about the driving dynamics. I sat in one at the dealer and it was like the anti-sports car. I felt like I couldn't see over the hood and there was no rear visibility. What's it like to drive? What's the point of a Mustang? Details please.

Dude at work as an FJ Cruiser. He's a real man because it's a 4WD with manual transmission. Trying to get pricing from an old Toyota dealership I used to patron back when I piloted such things, but haven't heard from them yet. I'm going to drive his on Friday. We shall see...

Last night I had a ball in the Mazda, my side project is over the hills and (not so) far away, lots of twisties. And then this morning I was listening to Venom really loud whilst driving like a completely cockhole. I'm a jerk. It was fun.

What's the point of a Mustang?
Dude.

The point of a Mustang is to create the most uncomfortable car to sit in and drive. I fucking hate the interior of every Mustang made since 1985

I financed 100%, which makes my car payment $550. The 8-Cylinder would have cost me $750 a month, plus about another $100 in gas. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Exactly. I owner a 2004 Mach 1. It was an 8-Cylinder which was 305 HP. My buddy has a 1986 and a 1987, both 8-Cylinders, both around 250HP.

The point is a simple one, I love the look of it. I love the way it drives. Tons of power, good road feel, comfortable. Seeing over the hood is not easy, but it's really only an issue for parking. I love the way the side mirrors are set up, as they are mirror in mirror, meaning you never need to turn your head to see if someone is in your blind spot.

Honestly, I was worried I'd have a bit of buyer's remorse after the purchase. However, I'm loving it. Compared to the Camaro and Challenger, the interiors are really well done.

You want a shitty interior? Sit in a fucking Corvette. It isn't until now with the C7 that they are finally starting to get their act together.

It's true, but there's a flip side to that. 305hp was quite significant in 2005. Now, it's quite common. Most luxury sedans boast that much or more.

The GT500 has 662 BHP. It's absurd, but it's carried surprisingly well (it has it's issues).

At any rate, I'm not trying to detract from Zod's purchase or his enjoyment, I just think when getting a muscle car it's go all out or don't bother. I don't typically understand the concept of restraint :)

Everything wrong with America is in newbreed SUVs.

I'm now shopping for a '95-ish Jeep Wrangler instead.

There aren't many luxury sedans that do 0-60 to 5.75.

I was talking to my salesman about the car, as they had one in stock at the time of my purchase. He told me that when they sell them, they often sell them with a second car, as they can't be used as an every day car.

I didn't take it as such. However, you need to have a line in the sand. The additional $300 per month the GT would have run me, just wasn't worth it. Plus, I can make about $500 worth of adjustments to the car and bring it up to 330 HP AND improve my MPG by a mile or two.

Couldn't disagree more. I love the interior, as does my wife, who swore she was going to hate it. And everyone who has seen the interior has commented on how nice it is.

If you are comfy in it, excellent. I haven't sat in anything since the 2011 model, I admit. But I had pretty much had opportunity to drive damn near every Mustang between the 89' model until the 2011, in some cases suffering long road trips in them (2001, 2005, 2007, 2010) and I needed a chiropractor
afterwards.
