Waiting for AAA, car completely went to shit on the way back from work. Once this battery/alternator deal is handled, need to drive over to the shop to have my electronic cluster replaced. Last repair, I swear!

Turned out that I had several bad grounds. The battery/alternator are all fine, problem has been remedied for far less than I expected. Huzzar

I still can't wrap my head around why someone* would buy ANY small car other than a Miata. The Abarth, Mini S et al are all nice but they are all about the same price as the long- reigning king of affordable, indestructible handling/fun.

my main issue with the new Fiat is the seating position ... the ONLY thing that stuck out like a sore thumb in my test drive.

you sit ON the seat not in it, putting you at eye level with minivans.

That's it. I'm getting a Miata again. All my random small car research (fun reading on thetruthaboutcars.com) made me realize how much FUN it is to drive one. I'll try to get one this summer...but most likely won't be until next year.
