And you are probably right about the G-Wagon, I mean I didn't even know they existed until I saw the Euro-companies driving armored versions of them around (like we have armored suburbans; some of them have armored G-wagons). A Land Rover defender would be sick as well. I will obviously sit on this idea for a while, because the last car I wanted was a Cadillac, haha. Good thing I don't actually have any need of a car at all so I don't force myself into buying whatever whimsical car I'm feeling at the time. At one point this year I was even looking at hybrids. I'm really the worst at this. To top it all off I really know nothing about cars, so I just like stuff that looks awesome and seems cool, hah. Such a n00b.

Haha awesome. But like I said above, the first time I saw a G-Wagon was when it was being used by roadwarriors cruising the wastelands. I had no idea of their 'luxury, hip, fancy' etc. status until further research. Yesterday I saw one on the road for the first time here in Boston (that I can remember, I'm sure I've seen them before and just not noticed of course).

G Wagens are actually fuckin' amazing, hipster crap aside. Same thing with Hummers, great vehicles tarnished by LookAtMe poop. I'd probably just get a Jeep Wrangler if I were going that way though, much cheaper, just as capable (or better) out on the trail, and those actually come with manual trannies still.

If they ever release a diesel Wrangler in the US it'll be hard for me to resist. I still want my neighbor's '79 Wagoneer, even with an automatic that's probably the 3rd coolest vehicle ever.
