I found the #1 album of 2004

$18.99? am I reading this correctly? I'll wait for Red Stream.

Heh, the normal price for an album here in good ol' Norway is $28. Indie shops are a bit cheaper, normally around $25. I should order more from the US, considering the dollar is laughably weak at the moment.

I'm used to paying $10-$15 for a brand new CD including postage.

And if I lived in Europe, all my CD purchases would be from the US.

I'm loaded (relatively speaking, of course :p) with cash after Christmas, but I've found a killer record store in Oslo with a bunch of rare Bathory, Darkthrone, Immortal, Emperor, Enslaved, Mayhem etc. 7'', LPs, CDs and so on, so I'm going there this coming Friday. If not, I'd order a bunch of stuff from relapse.com. Not sure about the toll fees, though :erk:

Yeah I'd be going ape poopy for US distros if I were in Europe, or any US-sold products in general.

I have this on CD-R and have yet to listen to it. Liked the 3 songs I heard on the website though.

That guy is selling it on e-bay too by the way, I just this minute sent my money. $19.99 seems steep, but when converted into good old English pounds, I can hardly complain, especially seeing as it's coming from Chile.

This album is immense, but does anyone know of upcoming releases?

Only recently I was wondering this too, since this album is really, really good. I couldn't find any news though in my brief search around.

There are a few flaws with the album

I agree with this, especially about that stupid crying section. However, there are moments on this album of absolute genius. That guitar lead on the title track, from 7:15 - 8:15, for instance, is unbelievable.

Bah, the "crying interlude" works just fine :p But it also, along with other things, makes the album one I could never listen to with only one ear. It demands full attention and very much deserves it
