I dunno, it's just not done that way out here, at least not in the shithole town I grew up in. So it's what I've gotten used to. I'm used to you have to inform your friends, who inform her friends, her friends come and grill you about it, if you meet their approval they inform her and somehow through the mysteries of feminine groups they arrange a time/place for you two to hang out with neither of you knowing ahead of time. If you get along, great, if not, it never happened.
