you woulda had to buy back in the 1930s when LA was just starting to grow. youd be rich as a motherfucker now (kinda like anyone who owns property in socal).
heh back when i was looking for houses i was all over the map and i looked up east la just to see what was going on. there were some literal crackhouses going for something like $200,000 +.
Dude a crackhouse in Riverside will cost you $250k now. Trust me, I almost bought one! :loco:

6 years ago though, a house in an okay area out here went for $180k brand new. Same houses go for over $400k now. Stupid.

dont you wish you lived during the "chinatown" era? i do. just so i could drive those big ass cars and wear a white suit.

I thought you were going to say because you like to get yer nose cut. :dopey:

But yeah, I totally would. Hey at least we still get the same amount of corruption these days!

its one house ... with 2 floors ... both floors are self contained ...
are those popular or something? because of the space issue?
"lofts" are real popular here. although the use of the word loft is used quite freely.

I live in a duplex

;)
well, when the median price of a single family house where you live is $2348534857234759827, i dont see how you have much of a choice

That movie rules so god damn much.

Hey lurch, do you still have that link that shows house values like Google Earth? I lost all my bookmarks in the Great War of Repeatedly Hitting the Damn Reset Button in Frustration a few weeks ago.

I couldn't rent and live in a house here without it being a multi-family home. In this case, it's a top/bottom duplex. Other than the sound problems documented yesterday, it's fairly righteous. :)

I have a friend writing a case study / book about me right now. He's the guy I get drunk with once a week so yeah, I'm sure it'll be interesting. Either that or revoltingly boring, I dunno.

He already promised me 10% of the earnings.

oh, hes not by himself, i can assure you. at several points, the action was so hot, i put the camera down and got myself involved.
