I went and shot off some guns today

Sig-Sauer .40 automatic and a 3.57 revolver) with magnum and non-magnum rounds.

the cool thing was, this was the first time i'd ever fired a handgun, and i totally kicked Tom's (the handguns' owner's) ass with the automatic. the very first time i used it, i hit 5 out of 5 shots in the target, including one bulls-eye, and Tom can barely hit one of out ten (he's good with the revolver, though). i think his stance was really fucked up, and told him so, and he started doing better by the end.

it's also weird that even though i'm right-handed, I shoot left-handed and left-eyed.

I've only shot shotguns, never handguns. The power behind a 12 guage is awesome. I actually had a huge bruise on my shoulder the first time I shot cuz I wasn't holding it right.

i was fine with a revolver until the guy teaching me said to not cock the hammer cause he didn't think i'd remember to if i was suddenly confronted with a grizzly bear. After that i couldn't hit the broad side of my ass
