I am now 20% less jealous of all Wacken attendees, meaning I will only kill a quarter of them and cripple the rest instead of half and half.

Well I didnt expect Iced Earth to play Wacken I confess, but TWISTED SISTER! Come on people! You cant repalce Iced Earth with a washed up 80's Glam Rock band!!!! At least get someone remotely close to good to replace IE! This blows donkey balls. Well at least Slayer, Vader, Sentenced and a couple other good bands are playing. Man, the only Wacken I will get to go to and they make Twisted Sister play. Did I do something wrong!!??

I agree, Twisted Sister is a HORRIBLE choice...they probably can't get even a semi-comparable band, though. Nevermore & Blind Guardian, the best choices, are probably too busy.
But hey, there's still those bands you mentioned, the almighty Testament, Diamond Head, Annihilator, Dismember and DARK FUCKING ANGEL. So it's not a total loss.

I was so FUCKING pissed when i read this on the wacken site about 2 minutes ago. How can they even pretend that twisted sister is a sufficiant replacement for iced earth??? Fuck man... this is not cool. Well, there's still gamma ray, sentenced, testament, in flames, etc. etc. as everyone has said. But fuck man... that ruins the first night completely. shit.
Im not saying Twisted Sister is washed up. Hell, if you ask me I think they are a fun band to sing along to. I am just saying that it is hardly a replacement for IE. I hope that they will put on a good show and I suspect they probably will. But again, its just not the same style as IE or even same level thats all.

I gotcha tehre Spawn. I am stationed in Germany with the Air force and I go back to the US next April so this is my ONLY Wacken for many years to come if not my only one ever! So I admit I am a bit pissed they couldnt at least get a better replacement, something more fitting for the show. Oh well, I mean there are still a lot of killer bands there anyway so its not a total disappointment.

most bands already have set their plans and it is hard to find bands last minute plus Twisted Sister is not only entertaining but they are a killer live show.
Yeah I know the last minute cancellation was tough for the Wacken guys, so Im not pissed at them or nothing. And I hope youre right about the live show as I would love to be pleasantly suprised by their appearance.

Yeah, i am not totally disappointed. I am that they got such a shitty replacement, but i am still going to be happy to see sentenced and all of them.
