If you could pick and choose your own work...

Bad musicians can be taught. And generally they go OH OK! Sorry man I'll fix that up. It's the one who tell you ITS GOOD MAN! DW! We can fix it in the mix, that take was fine...

I HATE THOSE!

Unprofessional deathcore and hardcore kids who can't be bothered to track tightly, practice or generally make any effort whatsoever, because to them it's not about the music, it's about the fame and glory and getting to fuck models.
Hence why I quit metal production. At least for the time being.

People who don't take their music seriously. They don't practice, they don't give a shit about my schedules etc., and sometimes it feels like they want to get in the studio just to be in a studio and write about it in Facebook. Fuck that.

On top of that, those that also take themselves too seriously.
Musicians that take themselves too seriously but don't take their music seriously, are the worst breed.
Egotistical fucking cunts that should be rounded up and burnt in a fire.
Pretty much describes Trivium really.
Faggots that think they're the best metal band ever yet can't even fucking play their shit properly.

I see that all the time and it sucks!!!

i aready stopped doing hardcore bands because i couldnt stand the lack of professionalism anymore. To be honest, the scene here sucks so much, that I am looking for a career change and just doing this as a hobby. Even the most 'pro' musicians here just have a total lack of commitment that is depressing.

Thats it !! Music for me is not a game. It is something special. If you like to do music do it with respect and work hard to be a better musician and as a person too. If I don't see this in a band, there is nothing to do about music.

Bands that don't care about tracking tight and expect me to fix their shit, bands that aren't clear when it comes to payments, bands that don't know what they want and only care about their own instrument and not the whole mix.

That shit I'd avoid for sure.

"bar bands". The guys who play 2-3 times a week and come into the studio and wonder why they sound so terrible.

the answer: Their instruments are garbage and they are usually drunk/high every time they play live. A few months back when we had a band come in during one of our open weekends (which never happens), and it was horrific. Every other song was a cover (WHY?!?!) and generally it was terrible.

The other thing I hate about them is they think they are geniuses at everything technical cause they've been doing this "since before I was born".
