Today my daughter, she's 7 years this year and attending a catholic school told me that the bible is true because the bible says so and that she wants to read it because the teacher reads it and it's funny.

So I asked her if I always tell the true. And she said yes. So I asked why and she answered because I'm papa. So I said "what if I say that the sky is red? Am I still telling the truth?" To what she answered no. So I asked "if we read something in the bible that's not true then it's telling the truth?" And again she answered no.

She knows that I am no believer.

As for reading the bible, I think that we should start with the incest and kill all the people but keep the virging girls to you as sex slaves. Then we'll proceed with David presenting 200 foreskins as dowry. Any other suggestions?

The Old Testament is pretty awesome tbf. God is one angry motherfucker in that one, smiting and trolling people non-stop. He's a bit of a legend. The character gets watered down a lot in the New Testament sequel though. A shame.

Far more violent than game of thrones. In the nt you have human sacrifice and the erase of us all with eternal torturing included. I think that's violent enough.
