What is your all time favorite HORROR movie? Not gore, and none of that Grudge 2, Scream 3, etc. crap.

Mine has to be the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I've never even seen any of the others, and I don't intend to. It makes me SICK when they remake a classic horror movie.

Unforunately I'm too wussy for a true horror movie and only watch some gore movies:lol: Not a movie, but I think the old Resident Evil games have an atmosphere similar to those you can get in movies.

Yes, indeed. RE re-issue for gamecube was brilliant.
As for horror, no movie can touch Halloween. Although TCM does come pretty close. Evil Dead and Dawn of the Dead each rule in their own right. That right being campiness. Neither is even remotely scary.

Not trying to bash here, I am just curious, what is it that you like about TCM? I saw this for the first time recently and I thought it was horrible. I was bored out of my mind. There wasn't anything I thought was redeming.

I was wondering that too about TCM. I saw it for the first time about a year ago (the original), and I didn't think much of it.

I did think that the original Exorcist was a genuinely creepy movie. Never saw The Shining Though

I cannot narrow it down to one single movie. But my fave two are probably the original TCM and Hellraiser.

TCM is probably one of the greatest horror movies ever made. Nevermind those shitty remakes.

I haven't seen enough horror to have a favorite. I guess I'll have to take some of the movies listed in this thread as recommendations.

The Exorcist scares me out of my tits.
iirc there is a part in a hospital(??) and a random face comes up (satan?) and it scare t he fuck out of me , and made me believe that random faces would appear out of nowhere:lol:

RE remake was amazing, Crimson Heads are some crazy bitches

Resident Evil GAMES:p

the movies were terrible yes, However I thought the lickers and Nemesis were very well done, and I liked how they included the method of shooting them in the head, and in one part someone said it was okay to just walk past the zombies because they're slow.

2 movies get the title "scariest of them all" for me...

Ringu (the Japanese version for The Ring)
Japanese horror movies are simply amazing. Hollywood ruins everything they "remake" I hate it.
But Ringu is AWESOME!!!

and believe it or not... blair witch project...
There is something about movies that do not show you anything and leave ea lot for your imagination that freaks me out.
I have a very wild imagination.

yeah, TCM is real horror

and yes, The Ring (US) scared me. none of that jap crap

what?!?!

The american version SUCKS!! They give you everything on a plate...
They are not mysterious and grim... they are not dark and twisted...
Everything about re-makes of japanese films is simply lame and trendy..
creating a formula to make $$$.
The japanese movies have so much depth in them... they are sombre, dark, and your head works all the time while watching them.
The actors are so subtle yet deep....
You should give Ringu another chance.
