Well all I can say, is that I had to re-install Windows on my laptop every 2 months or so because of all the viruses, untill I got AVG. Guess it does work, eh?
I've tried many anti-spyware/anti-virus programmes, and none of them really worked, for example Norton.. shittiest programme ever.
And Spydoctor doesn't even remove the spyware:S

Well i got to agree on that. Norton is pure shit.

Delete your System32 folder.

you actually have to deactive and delete any lphc or rhc files in your task manager and in the system 32 folder. if you delete the whole thing... your fucked

okay, so i have myself a nasty virus/spyware. it hit my computer while i was ripping a dvd and searching for ipod games. i was looking through an ipod game site and i had a security pop up that asked if i wanted to continue. i thought it meant to continue ripping the dvd so i said yes. well, i was wrong. out of no where, this antivirus xp 2008 popped up and did a scan. it said i had over 2000 virus'. i was quite surprised and did a virus scan with a different program... it said the virus was the antivirus xp 2008. so i went to delete the program and it would not let me and now it's fucking up my computer. i've been trying everything but i can't delete the program. any advice?

it's C:\format in the dos, but you need to go back in you c:\ in your dos and type format.
