Inflames Terrible new vocals

I don't know what's funnier, the man-woman, or the fact that the guy is wearing an ICP shirt.

Oh btw. Listened to tons of Behind space and I have to say this song is boring as hell.

Fuck the gothlook, why do people care about such things?

Edit: I noticed that In Flames has become the most listened on my last fm. :O

I still don't get your point, go check the music and quit crying about some makeup.

(I'd prefer checking out; Hurt and virtue or Cruelty brought thee orchids.)

It's not makeup, it's an idiotic scene full of colossal faggots and even if the music was good I would boycott it simply because I refuse to support the concept of anything that lame. That said, some goth stuff I've heard has been good, like London After Midnight. Goth and metal generally don't mix too well though.

I listened to Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids. It was okay but nothing special; my general impression is that CoF at one point produced tolerable-to-good black metal and then devolved into faggotry.

all I have to say is "Coerced Coexistance", my favourite song of In Flames, and the vocals are awesome. normaly I prefer deeper growls, but I love what Fridén has done.

I wonder when Anders will ditch the screams altogether and we get a clean sung In Flames album? I think it could be on the cards.

Ok i just made an account to reply here to give my opinion about this.
Most people on this forum seem to like ''Old'' In Flames more.
As soon as someone say they like the newer style more, you bash them completely, no need for that. Everyone has their own opinion.
My personal opinion is that they are equally good now as they were back then.
The styles are different yes, but they are each good in their own ways.
''Old Era'': Unbeatable melodies, example: Jester Race, Moonshield, Jotun etc etc. Acoustics is awesome too. More of an 100% agressive style.
''New Era'' Also unforgettable riffs & melodies. Examples: Drenched in Fear, Eraser, Reflect The Storm, Trigger etc etc there aswell. Though they arent the same 100% agressive style now, they are more melodic instead.
So my opinion of the instrumental parts: Awesome from 1994-now
Now to the vocals: This is what the Old fans whine about the most, which i don't understand really since the vocals are absolutely unbeatable still. There is not really any other vocalist that sounds like Anders honestly. He moved on from death growls and grunts too a more high pitched voice style mixed with some cleans. And he can still growl very good and grunt. I think that the way they have progressed with their music, the vocal style has blended into the music and fits in perfectly. And the cleans are good too, gives more emotion to the songs. Im not really a fan of ''The Chosen Pessimist'' But i think his cleans in most of the songs they have done fits well into the songs. Though, The Chosen Pessimist is to much of a ballad for me, But that is what In Flames do, they experiment with new stuff. So yeah that's basically my opinion. And he can sing cleans live too. Maybe not as good as a normal singer but it does not sound bad and there is really no false notes. They still come up with kickass riffs & melodies and the vocals have always owned. But ofcourse this is only my opinion and i guess people will bash me for this since most people is anti-new in flames on this forum it seems. But come on, stop bitching about the old style ffs, they changed like 9+ years ago. There is !PLENTY! of other albums you can buy if you don't like them, no need to bitch about it after all this time.
Hope to see some interesting replys now
Last but not least; In Flames We Trust ^^
Edit: Sorry if there is some grammatical errors, I'm not english.

That would be awful for the twin reasons that Opeth are incredibly boring and that In Flames sound nothing like Opeth. And also that his deeps are nowhere near as good as Mikael Akerfeldt's.
