You are out of shape??? Are you kidding me? Dude - that was fucking fantastic... outstanding man!!! Go ahead and do the entire track man... do the harmonies as well if you can.
If you can get your buddy to do his best Nicko, that would be awesome too.

Cheers!

Geoff

What did you do to the kick? I really like it! Slate or something else?

About the Cymbals: I like SD2.0 Overheads a lot more than DFH, especially the crashes and the highhats.
Dunno if it's a matter of taste or a matter of Plugin-development ;)

WOW @ those Vocals o_O
Felix, die machens dir nicht wirklich leichter glaub ich ;)

It may seems strange but I dont own any slate product. The kick it´s a sample that I have called the kick drum project. If you dont have it just say something and I can upload it on dropbox. In post processing I am cutting some mids and boosting some highs and also adding some saturation.

Yeah SD2.0 Overheads sound more real, the hit hat of DFH really sucks and the problem about the cymbals it´s that they are too bright. I have to update myself and begin to work with SD2!lol

The guitar sound is so good on this, and the playing is so tight :D What impulse did you use?

Thanks dude:) The imupulse is s-preshigh. You are really suprised aren´t you? You can say it:lol:

Digitaloutput, that was great!! :)

I´m willing to try some vocals, too. Although, I´m not sure, if I can make it better than Mr. Digitaloutput.

That´s great. I am curious and anxious to hear your version also and we know that you can do a great work too. ;)

Thanx guys! :kickass::kickass::kickass: I'll try to talk my drummer into it...he's from an other town, but he wont say no to my PLeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz!!!but it will take about 2-3 days...

Just take your time. ;)

Really no Slate? I got into the deal recently because mmost of my snares sucked so hard (at least you complained all the time ;) ) lolz
Would be really great if you could share the kick!

Hehe, yeah SD2 would definitly an improovement...but as I see you're getting it recordet on real drums anyway, so if you're not doing a lot of stuff programmed drums its not nearly necessary

Ahah! I have some kind of fetish for snares with crack, but seriously your snares were good but not my favourite. But the majority of people here like that snares with that kind of muffled sound and most of them sound really well.

This time I guess we might have luck with real drums. But all of my projects I have to program the things because I dont have a real drummer neither conditions to record him. It sucks but as long I can record my songs even with programed stuff I am cool with that.

Here it is the kick:

It may not fit in a mix automatically and you may have to eq here and there but it´s a kick with a great sound.

Thanks a lot bro, gonna try it out soon :kickass:

yeah, snare's were a big PITA for me, because it's hard for me to find the right balance between beeing cracky but not overly over-presenced, you know? with the slate samples it was a lot easier....was just hard to decide which ones to blend together haha

Well, isn't there a special deal if you update from DFK to SD2.0?

Holy shit... o_O :worship:

Just a little thing that bothers me though, there's few spots where the words differ from the original a bit ("...for a prime time Belsen feast, yeah..."). Nothing serious, but something that catches my ear as I've listened to these classics a lot. :)
It's the same with a lot of cover versions, and even some Maiden's live recordings too, just sounds a little weird or funny to me. :)

I take my hat off to you digitaloutput, excellent performance. :worship:

I noticec that too but I think that was just a quick test that Digital did... I'm sure he'll nail in on the final track... can't wait to hear it and if his buddy does the live drums as well...
We might have to submit this to Maiden just for shits and giggles... :)

Great cover. Very very good.
And wow to the vocals, got some serious pipes there dude ;)

No prob dude:kickass:

Yeah I have the same problem of balance in snares. I am never satisfied with I have. Slate has great samples without doubt but of what I hear he has also snares with a lot of post processing and overcompressed. But with slate you have much more options to choose. It´s always good.

Well I already have SD but I didnt used it yet because SD sucks too much memory RAM, and to have a really good sound, the mic ambiences must be on. If I turn on those mics the SD will suck me 1g at least. My shitty pc has 2g, so for now it´s kinda hard to use it. Even at 16 bits mode.:erk:

Thanks a lot friend:)

Oh yeh, im bothered by the panning of the guitars at the beginning- pan them as per the original :p

Really? I could do that if you think it´s better. The original it´s something like 75R in the intro? But somehow I think you are right, the intro hard panned sounds a little weird, I already noticed that.

Hahahaha,yeah... Just listened to it again - it's there.:ill: I didn't even notice that "BELFAST YEAH" :loco: .I will do that part again, cos there shall be only one lyrics version.Hehe...
