IS it ok to not be impressed with Fate of Norns?

it's not just the music that makes an album enjoyable... you should look at the full package...
and think of it as contributing to the starving artist!
 
AA isn't as rich as Puff Daddy or some of this sell out stuff...
They need the money from their cd's to go on tour and to make a more spectacular show (Fire!!Fire!! :hotjump: )
And they also have to live from this money...
So burn porns or something on your cd's and not AA!!!
 
I don't think they make much money from selling cd's. I know the Cannibal guys don't live from the cd's they sell. They live from touring and merch that they sell. How much can you really get from a cd? Maybe $1-2 per cd and divide per band members. The label gets the bigger chunk.
 
I don't even think it's that much. I hear it's a couple of cents. I also hear that you don't really make too much money of concerts, but then I hear that's where the money is. WOw... not even the Cannibal guys can live of their CD's... I guess Slayer is doing pretty ok, they probably have some ´money, but what's with extremer bands, which one is the richest do you people think? IT seems like after slayer, everything goes downhil on the economic side.

Cradle of Shit are doing fine as far as I know, or at least Dany the asshole is.

One thing I know and from what I have been told, the reason their tours were always so short; was that Deicide wanted a $4,000 pay guarantee per show which explains why they never played small 100 people venues and why a ticket always ranged in the $18-20. But again, I lost respect for Deicide and their music years ago.
 
Cannibal dont live from their music? and they are the death metal band which has sold the most CDs in all their career. talk about hardship in life for metal bands! :p
 
It's my least favourite album as well but still damn good. The fact remains that after perfectness of VTW any album would seem a little sucky becouse VTW is just so damn good.
 
ya. i never was a big deicide fan anyways. benton has the biggest fucking head in the world man and thats the main reason im never gonna like them. im never gonna forget when vader was playing and glenn went on stage.... stood there.... spread out his arms.... did absolutely nothing.... everyone gawked at him in sheer fucking amazing that hes glenn.... then got off the stage.... nothing fancy.... thats all it was. all he did was steal vaders spotlight and prove that hes extremely self centered. thats all i got to say about that.... good vocalist though.... sometimes... =\
