Italian Metal

Abysmal Grief are good, they can trample water in their songs sometimes but as a whole I really like them.
Elvenking's first as people mentioned is great, I can listen to the whole album from start to finish and not find a single boring spot. From the stuff I've heard of their later albums the quality doesn't even come close.
I also love Goblin but that's a whole different thread I guess.

Elvenking is great, their first has a very mature folk feel while their latter albums stray to the poppish sound of modern metal, ugh. ALTHOUGH, Wyrd is a good album it in some ways points to the direction the band was taking. I'm actually talking more about the ones that follow wyrd.

speaking of Wyrd I haven't heard that album in a while. I think It's time.

I recomend you a band from the NWOBHM era called Knife Edge, they just have a demo (sounds like a bootleg, but i'ts amazing anyway) and a live recorded in Milan, Italy from 1982. Both are very hard to find, but I downloaded (?) the demo; you know: you search, you find...
