Idea for new metal genres?

Here's a DL link to our first demo, the Reclaimation Suite:

The first few songs on this particular demo were not formally composed, but the last 3 were. Also, the introduction the first song is a bit of a joke. The guitar is playing a melody based on tri-tones which then resolves to first the 3rd and then the 5th. It's a joke because we never do that again on really any of our material. We thought would be funny to throw in a "stereotypical" introduction.

Here's the second demo with the Non-Contradiction Suite and Power Trio with Bass vocalist Suite:

The recording on this one is much rougher because it's unmastered and we recorded it live. We chose to record this one live because the material is much more challenging than the first demo, so it requires visual cues between all of the members.

It's 3 demos, but I think it's less than 30 minutes of total music. We decided to play it like Webern and be short and intense.

That's how we got our baritone saxophone player and trumpeter on this album we're about to release. Thank the heavens for music departments at local colleges, they are a treasure trove.

Do you guys have a soundcloud or a bandcamp or something? I'd like to check out your shit.]

Plenty of that to be had, my friend. And much of it is better executed than Il Nino's material.

Really like that INTRONAUT a LOT.

Reminds me of Robert Fripp's ideas in Red and Larks' Tongues quite a bit.

I've heard the comparison to "Red" before and I see what you mean. "Larks' Tongues" makes me think that they were listening to Steve Reich when writing it. The Black Orifice material was mostly focused on being as dissonant as possible. It's tons of fun to play, the meter changes pretty much every single measure.

Probably the most comparable band would be Breadwinner. They were pretty much the staple band for all math and noise rock that followed. Interestingly, they were Lamb of God's biggest influence.
