I'm really starting to look into the early Italian metal scene and I'm quiet impressed. They have some very pioneering bands.

Thy Majestie are similar to rhapsody though basing the music around medieval history. they have albums about Jean D'Arc and The battle of Hastings.

I still don't know if i really like this band or not. Their "whatever/kinda/so and so/ambitious without much potential doom/dark slightly metal" thing is definetally not for everyone's cup of tea, not only yours, at least in "Apocalypsis" and "Golgotha" which are the ones i have. Maybe if the sound quality was not totally destroying the music in some moments, or if they decided how to combine the styles they want to mix in a better way, then maybe...maybe i'd appreciate them a lot more.
