I need some Doom recommendations

The most death/doom makes me sleep but Swallow the Sun is okay I guess but I cant manage to stay awake threw a whole album :p

Old katatonia is the best doom ever imo, it took me a while to like Jonas black/death growls but they are great when you start to like them. Brave Murder Day is THE best doom record ever (probably because Mikael Åkerfeldt does the harsh vocals).

Shit! Thanks for recommending DOOM:VS, I fucking love Draconian. Anyways, lots of good recommendations so far but I'd like to add a few more

Edit: Just checked out Funeral as well, liking what I hear!

Esoteric + Evoken = one hell of a sorrowful night, but a great one at that.

They are nothing like Draconian though.

Another vote for Ahab. Heavy as hell.

Fuck yes.

Well, I'll try harder:

The fourth song on this myspace is from WARNING's 2006 album Watching From a Distance.

Some quotes to reinforce my sentiment that this is the best doom release of this decade (at least):

This is one of those cd's that ...gives you hope that their might actually be some inspiration left in the world

Patrick Walker's background as an actor shines through his vocal performance, giving off dramatic projections that communicate the words of each song with radiant fluidity, but also with discipline, as the vocals don't go too far over the top.

Each track exhibits unparalleled Doom, reminiscent of Candlemass at their most reflective (Ancient Dreams, At The Gallows End), Saint Vitus at the peak of hopelessness (Burial At Sea, Dying Inside) and Trouble at their most tormented (The Tempter, Wickedness of Man).

Warning - Footprints
I am not feeling the green burning flame,
As I gaze back along footprints you have made.

And I am not dreaming of more than you have shown.
You are not a foundation,
You are not a stone.

But I'm afraid of the way that I'm feeling;
Afraid of this new understanding now;
Afraid for the beauty within me,
And that which I hold within my hand.
And this is the ultimate secret,
That many before me have ever known.
So capture me while I am weakest;
I want to know,
I want to know.

Here I am wide open, surrendering to your side;
I have laid down my armour,
I have no sword at my side.
I leave behind me the ruins of the fortress I swore to defend;
I leave behind me foundations;
I'll leave you a man I'll need you to mend.
And through all the battles around me
I never believed I would fight.
Yet here I stand, a broken soldier,
Shivering and naked, in your winter light.
