May I suggest, like ledmag, SOLITUDE AETURNUS, ST. VITUS, some BLACK SABBATH,THE OBSESSED/SPIRIT CARAVAN (I met "Wino" when Spirit Caravan opened for TESTAMENT), CANDLEMASS, ORANGE GOBLIN, ELECTRIC WIZARD,early TROUBLE, some CATHEDRAL, and some consider these bands doom but I don't really think so TYPE O NEGATIVE (maybe some of there stuff), and CROWBAR.

A great resource for doom metal is http://www.doom-metal.com, an old buddy of my runs it and under "Information" and "Bandlist" is a great number of doom metal bands that you can check out until your ears bleed.

Aye the Philosopher is interested in discovering more Doom Metal. So far I'm into My Dying Bride, November's Doom (are they actually doom??), Candlemass, and Mourning Beloveth (I can't wait to see them at the Doomination tour).
