Nick Barker can't drum without triggers. Period.
I've seen it before, asked it, got it confirmed and he proved it a month ago.
He played here in Tilburg, in a local club and did a guest appearance with the Slayer Cover Band.
No triggers, means sloppy double bass. That's all i have to say.

If Nick Barker would be an option?
I suggest Loomis better does the drums himself.
 
I have a feeling I will enjoy this album more than any Nevermore release. Jeff's playing is primarily why I listen to Nevermore in the first place. An entire album of Jeff's music will be grand.

Just so you know, its far more difficult to stay tight and in time with triggers than without.

Triggers make a shitty drummer sound even shittier. I think Nick Barker is great.
