I have head this as well. On CD he sounds very tight and together, live I heard he can be hit or miss.

Duh, in the studio even Madonna sounds good.
I saw him playing 8-notes and i heard 32-notes.
He cheats, doesn't work his drumkit and i do not like that in a drummer.

IM telling you. the guy playing buckets outside the smithsonian in dc is the guy playing drums.

i heard a rumor that warrel has a song on this cd too! a kazoo instrumental backed my jeff on his vintage mickey mouseguitar.

Gene Hoglan gets my guess.

He helped out Opeth with a few gigs, I know that has no relevence, but you know...just shows he's willing to lend a hand!

Anyways....carry on!

Mike Maginni!!!!!!

Mike Mangini would be a good one, he sounded great on the last Annihilator.

Is the drummer for this CD still undecided (this thread is old)
Mangini lives right up the street from me, I could put a bug in his ear
about this project. :)

Good news to finally here an update. Can't wait till this comes out! I predict it will have a Cacophony vibe, which will rawk bawls :headbang:
