Hey, ya'll.

Once a week I've been doing a one hour composition with a bunch of friends on the interweb. The theme for this week's composition was "Nightlife." So of course the first thing that popped into my head was katatonia (not clubbing.. like most people?)

So here are the rules: You will have 1 hour to complete your song and 10 minutes to finish it up. You will then have an additional 10 minutes to upload your song. At 6 PST/9 EST you may begin your mixing, please have your files uploaded by 7:20 PST/10:20 EST.

HERE'S THE SONG: http://compo.thasauce.net/files/Oinkness_-_The_Life_That_Had_Past(OHC054).mp3

Try to guess what Katatonia song inspired this song. And I hope you like it. It only took an hour but it sounds better than most of my one-hour songs. Most of them have more electronic elements.

I didn't intend this as an ad but if anyone is interested in getting involved with these one hour compos, the site is http://compo.thasauce.net/compos/view/OHC and we usually meet once a week on irc.

Also the vocals were meant to sound like earlier, shy, soft goth vocals... but I think i went overboard.. so I will probably redo them at some point.

I liked the song a lot,I'd just like you to redo the lyric part where you sing "the way the moon shines...."
