Kov's "Hey look, it's a virtual YOU, and I'm controlling its life!" thread.

my .iso copy doesn't crash, but it needed a no cd crack to work, otherwise software for burning cds would interfere with the game right at the start. :err:
but i'm not using sims 2 much, i should read the manual and i'm too busy to concentrate on games now.

My iso copy doesn't crash either, but I couldn't find a working no-cd crack so I had to download and install Daemon Tools. Unfortunately the game got really boring quite quickly, so bugger it.

@rahve: for that specific phase of life, i recommend sports games. no manuals, you only need to master a few finger movements on the keyboard and then fun comes in heaps. i'm a compulsive player of tony hawk pro skater 4 for that reason exactly. did you ever get the harry potter games i sent you via our mutual friend last summer? if you didn't, get them because they guarantee the same degree of easy fun and they're harry potter stuff. (btw book 6 theoretically out in 2005, heard through the grapevine)

@hyena: get a game called enclave. you'll hack and slash to midless, blissfully unoriginal and uncomplicated orgasm before falling into deep sleep dreaming of your staff of crows that shoots the fantasy equivalent of descent's homing missiles. a stress banisher.

Hey, Dude, it's me, do you really think I wouldn't have a
no-cd crack for it? ;) :p

Actually it's not burning software, it's CD-emulators, but since most
burning software now has that...

oh, i know. i was reporting my field experience, that's all. more on the lines of: my copy worked fine after blah blah blah. where "triple blah" is obviously salmy's daily bread. :)

@rahve: trying to get it now, especially since doom 3 didn't work on my comp (shite) due to some demented internal error and i don't want to go through the whole process. what's a "midless" orgasm?

There's no foreplay. Doom 3 also won't work on my computer, and my Realms of the Haunting download on BitTorrent is going at less than 1KB/s for 2 CDs, and the other 2 CDs have stopped at 94 and 99 per cent. :bah: Not a good time for games.

This thread rules

ps: doom3 is way overrated, I find myself playing far cry and painkiller more often...

I agree with Thanny, tho I would go one over and say that D3 is complete
shit and wasn't even worth the download. (and yes, my computer can handle
it).
