Their best instrumental. I'm not worthy.

A pretty song with a haunting quality only Opeth can deliver.

Simple for me :

1 - April Ethereal... totally perfect, also the first Opeth song I heard
2 - The Moor

After those, many other great songs I'm unable to sort, but not as perfect as the 2 first... (Drapery falls, White Cluster, etc...)

And that's the best way to listen to Opeth songs...

It's really hard to rank songs...but my favorite Opeth riff right now is the one in the middle of Drapery Falls in 5/8 time where Mike and Peter are a half step apart....that is the heaviest fucking riff on the planet!!! And Opeth don't even tune down!

(yes, I know there are a few drop D songs, but that's not really tuning down...)

Man, this heavy CD coming out soon is gonna knock some heads!

I made a mix tape yesterday for the car, with my fav's (except Orchid, which I have been playing a lot lately). I has

Definetly Bleak...it has a transition in it that gives me goosebumps everytime!! I also love Serenity Painted Death!! Well...I pretty much love everything Opeth...hell...I have the Opeth "O" tattooed on the small of my back...now that's what I call a fan....and yes...I am female :)

fuck man....you call Blackwater Park and Still Life early opeth?? so anything that is already released is early?? will deliverance count as "early opeth" in 6 months?? so very sorry for being "tr00" as people call it, but fuck... early Opeth can so obviously be distinguished by a completely different style, which can be heard on Orchid, Morningrise, and MAYH...
If I've misunderstood what exactly you mean by "early opeth song ranking list" I apoligize...
