This is where we do work in the Krispies crib.

So this is like my "Home Studio" hahah This is old school shit that my dad used back in the day, and now 30 something years later we are all still killin it.
Figured I throw this up for shits. I train here 2x a week and then at a "real" gym 3x a week.

Wondered if any of you guys on here do shit at home as well and what your setups are.

That's some epic Lou Ferrigno status dude, training hard in the dungeon  Unfortunately I don't have a basement, so my space is much more limited - here's my modest setup in my dad's studio

HomeGym.jpg

That big gold thing is a Nordicflex gold, a true relic of the mid-90s that my parents picked up during one of those "get fit" rushes (needless to say, they've probably used it for a combined 3-4 hours since we bought it  ) - I just use it for squats, leg extensions, and pullups (free weights/EZ curl bar for everything else), and the bench can be inclined, which is useful too. I'm gonna investigate squat rack/bench combos, though I'm not sure if I could fit one...

Allthough I really want to go to the gym, always when I'm at the gym there is a voice inside off me saying: "dude practice your instrument, there's more use to that than these dumbass exercises"...haha.

Anyhow, cool setup and oldschool setup!

That looks like sports authority plates and a iron grip DB rack.....I shudder. Hahah

Yeah dude, once we got the competition bench and the squat rack, shit got real.
My dad is as oldschool as it gets. He get's up at 5am and throws down still. haha.

That's a fuckin' kick ass old school set up man. Today people want to be pampered even where they're meant to be breaking their balls of training. Working in a rough environment with some brutal music is much more stimulating to kick some ass, and I'm pretty sure this would apply for everyone, even my grandmother.

That's some horror movie set shit going on dude, respect.

If only I had the space for a home gym... I can barely fit the home studio, much less anything else. I always promise myself to get back into working out regularly, but it's very hard to swing in this career path.

It's sooo fucking true (trve) that training in a gym like that gets much better results that a nice clean health club type gym.
Your's looks kind of like the one my school used to have, i didn't even realise there was one for like 3 years because it was tucked away, the equipment must have been years old.

I seriously wish my gym used hammer strength equipment, the cable stuff they have is awful.

I feel ya dude. I can't believe I have as much as I do, and we are running out of space fast haha. Still more shit to add here and there.

ALSO I do go to a Gold's nearby a few times a week for other shit that I can't do at home.
The low ceiling and my 6'3 height prevent me from doing anything standing overhead shit (push press etc) at my house.

I do all my powerlifting/heavy days at home though. SO nice not having to wait for some douchebag with gloves on curling in the squat rack with chips on the end doin sets of 5 like he's hot shit.:puke::rolleyes:

The horror vibe also adds WAY to the experience. Winter lifting is fucking epic, especially with Old Man's Child blasting through the crate amp.
Plus it's awesome when you get your first vomit attack and get to use the white bucket - a staple of any hardcore gym.

Yeah dudes. Guess the whole message is don't underestimate the home workout experience.
