Latest CD you bought...

Was going to post in the WMYHT thread but might be to derail that thread so will post here instead:)

Just got:

TYR - The Lay of Thrym(boxset + flag edition)

Alestorm - Back Through Time(Boxset + pendant)

Going to listen them through later, this will just be too damn awesome!
 
Ahh I want Alestorm, Tyr, and the new Rhapsody so badly... looks like my wallet's gonna take a hit soon because I really want that 3-CD set of From Chaos to Eternity!

Thanks! I'm trying to get all the Sonata albums, the time I went to Disc Exchange before that I found Ecliptica, and this time I managed to find Silence. Now all I need is Winterheart's Guild, Unia, and Days Of Grays. (Not counting the Songs Of Silence live album and the greatest hits CDs.)

All the CDs I've bought within the past few months:

Power Quest's "Blood Alliance"
Sonata Arctica's "Ecliptica" and "Silence"
Stratovarius's "Infinite", but I ended up returning this one to get Silence
Theocracy's "Mirror Of Souls"
 
Oh man, that's a shame. :( The album took some time to grow on me, namely the songs Mother Gaia and Infinity (used to hate them for the longest time), but at least you liked Hunting High and Low - that's one of the best power metal songs ever. Out of curiosity, do you have any other Strato albums? They're probably my favorite metal band of all time, so I'm curious about people's interest in them :D

Nope, I traded in both of them (the other was the self-titled black album :puke:)
 
Oh no, that's one of their worst rated albums! I bet you'd like Episode or Visions... :D

I agree with you on the black album, it seemed uninspired and insanely repetitive. If I had a nickel for everytime he said "zenith of power" I would have $9001.

I may give Stratovarius another chance. I'll have to listen to Episode/Visions on YouTube/Grooveshark before I even consider buying, though.
 
:lol: Zenith of power! You have to hear Father Time and Black Diamond, the two 'smash hits' off of Episode and Visions respectively!
