Yep, that's what they sound like alright. And yep, there's very little difference between 0 and dimed on many of the controls. :lol:

LOL yea the controlls do almost nothing i was surprised when i got it. I just turn Everything to 20 and it sounds best to me (very Spinaltap esqe, maybe Mr. Lee Jackson had that in mind? haha)

Yea Im happy with it, i really dont see the need for a gainboost either unless you have really low output pickups for some reason, i have medium output passives and it sounds fine, And these clips were recorded at pretty low volumes because i live in a doorm. When you crank the poweramp up a bit and get some extra kick from that and the speakers get more involved that thing just rips.
 
I see what people mean when they say it is not a very versatile pre-amp. The mid-shift shapes nearly all the tone. Nice Bodom/Sinergy rhythm tone.
