Building a Mini SSL
I sold My HD3 PCIX, PT8, 192io and command 8 recently to go back to native,
PTHD8 was too buggy and used up too much memory for my liking in XP,
(i Used to do R&D and spec,buid and test PTHD Rigs for Carillon Audio back in the day and i built the first non Dell / IBM PC to ever be qualified / Certified for used with Protools by Digidesign, i know my PC was not the weak link.
I also sold it off because i thought at the time i would get the most money for it i could before Digi/Avid dropped some kinda bombshell that rendered it worthless.
I ebayed everything individually,
Got £1400 for the 192 and 2x Digisnakes,
£550 for the accel card inc digiflex cable
£1450 for the core and process card inc digiflex cable
£100 for PT8
£450 for the command 8
Ive kept an mbox & PTLE8 and my maudio audiophile & Mpowered 8 so i can still go back to any old sessions or work in PT ( mainly for beat detective and Elastic audio) if i want to,
Ive just got a Black Lion Audio Modified MOTU 24io to run with my cubase 5 (used cubase and nuendo for years) and I am not really missing anything about HD apart from my Eventide Anthology 2 bundle - Anyone Wanna buy it?
