Line6 POD HD400 video...

I actually ordered the HD300 last week to try out.

But judging from the video (don't know if the sound is direct) but on the high gain models it still has that pod sound to it(check 4:39).

Cool that they're finally out though. Can't wait to try mine... and put it up against the Axe fx rectifier model :flame:

Yep I agree..Funny thing is the guy demoing is an old friend of mine and Jeff Loomises from the MILWAUKEE/CHICAGOLAND are! Go Andy P! He used to have a progressive band called TALAMASCA a few years back!

Also looks like they could possibly be running it into a Line6 head and then a cabinet... direct or through the cab aside, can't tell if it's good or not from that video to be honest.

I hate it when these bluesrock guitarists showcase hi gain amps and try to play metal stuff. That video was not helpful at all.

Tony Iommi pretty much is a blues/rock guitarist, and he's the most metal guitar player ever......just sayin' :p
But yeah, video was crap.

I want to hear a real guitar into it, and direct to board. Until I get it in my hands and tweaking or one of the talented dudes on here (Ola, looking at you! ;) ) posts some clips, I'll reserve judgement. I have a feeling I'll end up getting the 400, though, if only as an upgrade to my XT Pro.

hint taken! Theoretically this unit is perfect. I can pair it up with my Crate Powerblock and have an ultra portable touring rig in my gig bag.
I really hope it delivers sound wise. My anticipation kinda faded watching this video though. :(

There's something still missing in those tones, but I see myself changing my live rig to a hd500 + mesa 2:50. The comfort and ease of use of having such a setup is godly.

Videos don´t say anything: We have the feel. It´s great. It is unlike anything we have seen and heard before. I hate this marketing crap.
And audio samples also sounds like shit as usual.
I just must wait for someone like Ola to review it with proper kickass metal.

But have they done anything to improve the less than subpar cabinet models of the X3 and co? I haven't heard or read anything about that, though I guess most free IRs would still beat them for home recording.

The recto sound in the web site sounds kinda promising, I think without a doubt better than previous POD tones...but I'll wait until someone *cough*Ola*cough* who knows his metal rhythm guitar tests it.
