listen to an interview with that idiot from nasheim

nice interview, thanks for sharing. I wish Ryan talked a little less though..
and you ARE a visual artist, man... i liked a few of your photos

thanks for listening. i am a decent graphic designer and photographer but not a painter. is what i meant.

Great articulate talk that covers a lot of ground and several meaningful subjects. I thought the host was all right, in his peculiar American way. I wish there were more such podcast interviews around. Or maybe I need to start looking for them...

thanks man. i liked the guy too, he has a particular way about him but had some interesting things to say and ask about and was generally easy to talk to.

they did an entire long-form podcast review of the album too, before the interview

they don't generally cover this type of music, it seems to be leaning more towards dirtier/noisier forms of punk, metal, ambient and noise but i'm glad nasheim found its way into their hands

And a good review too

These guys seem to like their talking round in circles haha, but they have a good chemistry, nice format. And credit to them especially if it's not their usual fare, they fully got the album I think

Good stuff. The interviewer is kinda annoying but the discussion topics were great.

Erik, you exude a lot of “weltschmerz” and it comes out in your music as well. I can certainly relate.

thanks for listening, buddies. glad you’re enjoying.

You gonna put Nasheim demos/splits on Bandcamp one day?
i don’t think so. that said, northern silence production has them up on *their* nasheim bandcamp.

also i just sold out to The Man and put the albums on spotify/itunes/apple music/etc. not feeling it re: putting older stuff on there either; if you want to hear that you can download it off some russian blog for all i care.

i bought your album from sepulchral prod while at messe des morts (he puts on the fest) 2 weeks ago

i'll listen to this interview some day - need to listen to album first

BTW - Nasheim made #2 on Invisible Orange's best of 2019 list (or specifically the list made by one of their editors)
yeah, i was sent the link by nsp, that's nice to get some recognition (despite doing my best to avoid it)

It's deserved, whether you want it or not. I have known Jon Rosenthal for a long time... he is probably Noltem's oldest fan and wrote the premiere for the last release. He has a very distinguished taste in music and his opinion definitely holds some weight in "the scene" (not that I think you're concerned about that). Over the last few years, he has managed to secure interviews with:

Ulver (an interview about Nattens Madrigal specifically featuring the actual band members who performed on the album)
Vintersorg
Dark Tranquillity (an interview with Michael Stanne about their early releases)
Opeth (an interview with Mikael Akerfeldt concerning Still Life and their other early releases)
Empyrium (an interview specifically about "Songs of Moors & Misty Fields", which was subsequently featured in the liner notes of the re-release)
etc.

What I'm saying is that its a big deal, so congrats.

that's cool, man. thanks. i think i remember seeing his name before. and those are some cool interviews that i should probably look up.

but yeah i'm being tongue-in-cheek as usual of course, it's not that i don't want recognition exactly, it's just that i'm not generally willing to Do What It Takes™ to Go Get It™
