They were sick, only complaint was their set seemed a little shorter than I was expecting. But I can understand given Matt Pikes health problems and the fact that they were playing the next day as well.so, how was it?

Their tour here was a bit cursed. The guitarist's headstock broke the night before but apparently they were able to continue the set. Then here in Auckland they kept tripping a fuse at the venue putting the guitar amp out. Never seen that before. Luckily it was the end of their tour leg and they had time to play a free show at a different venue the next night. It was aggressively loud, but good and problem-free, and also my 666th time attending a gig in Auckland if that helps lift the curse! So technically I saw them twice, but the first time they repeatedly attempted the same material and only got through 1½ songs in total before giving up.Primitive Man is sick live, you should definitely enjoy them!

'm up to 782 shows in total and never worn ear plugs once, but a bit of minor tinnitus is very low on the list of health issues bothering me.
I’ve known people that just don’t seem to be affected by loud noise no matter how much they’re exposed to it. I envy these people. How are you not fucking deaf already? And after seeing Slayed Necros and TB complain endlessly about tinnitus, id reconsider if I were you. You don't even have to ruin the sound by using foamies; invest (really only 20 bucks) in a pair of Etymotic plugs or something similar to save yourself. You can still hear everything perfectly and it wont destroy your ears.
I'm not sure how i ended up with tinnitus, but it definitely wasn't from loud music.

For me the warning signs happened but I was too stupid to take enough care after I noticed them. I used to think ringing after gigs or clubs was normal and I had a couple of instances where I thought I'd done some damage but then a couple of days later they were fine again. After that I wore plugs more but sometimes I'd forget them and then the "bam, tinnitus" happened after a particularly loud night. From what ive heard it only takes one bad experience, and bam, tinnitus.
I've got friends who've definitely been exposed to as much or more loud noise than I have and they're fine. I think genetics plays a part. And yea, it's strange, ive met some older people who used to go to lots of loud concerts (or are musicians) back in the 80s and 90s and they say that they hear perfectly fine. More often when I talk to those people they say that their hearing isnt that great any more.
Dude. The same thing happened to me at a Psycroptic show years ago. Luckily I was with my girlfriend and a couple of friends and they looked after me and took me home, but yeah. I was having a good night, drinking but not hell drunk and then bam I wake up at home. Apparently I was falling into people and onto things and annoying the crap out of everyone. Very strange. I also thought maybe my drink had been spiked. But perhaps it’s all Psycroptic and their mystical voodoo tech death.Went to a show last night (Psycroptic, Cannibis Corpse, Gorod) and kind of fucked up. I usually smoke weed before a show, but because I am in the process of potentially getting a new job soon, I opted to just drink a little more instead. Im enjoying myself watching Gorod and then from my perspective out of nowhere it is 5AM and I am at home sitting in a chair in my bedroom. I must have blacked out drunk, but imo I didn't drink enough to do so. Maybe my drunkness was increased because of the physical exertion? Supposedly I was moshing non-stop. Im not the type of person somebody drugs. Apparently I was so messed up during Psycroptic that a few people insisted I take a moshing break outside, and someone used my phone to text my friend inside. So for the first time in my life I was "that drunk asshole" at the show. Lost my watch too. Im a bit bummed I missed Psycroptic (supposedly I was there for half their set, though I don't remember a thing), but losing my watch really sucks.

Both bands were fucking incredible, Bobby still fucking has it, shook his hand by the front door before they went on. Ogre sounded tight as fuck, Ed is one hell of a front man.Fucking Ogre and Pentagram in June, going to be sick. Geno's has been getting some cool ass shows recently.
