lowest form(s) of music

The first I came in contact with was
Disco
then came
Punk
then came
Rap

the only one that even qualifies as actually being music is Disco but it was shameless. The funk part was OK but it was like cheese funk with stupid lyrics

Punk was a bunch of talentless abused bipolar morons being attention whores

Rap is a drum beat with talentless poets that rhym every line while being attention whores.

Pop makes me nauseous. I hate rap too but i would put it above pop, because it's usually about something rather than just an amalgamation of everything that sounds good at the time.

In order worse first:
Rap-Not only is the music(if you could even call it that) atrocious
the whole fan base/ culture around it makes me :Puke:.

Country-Hate the terribly obnoxious vocals.

Emo-Hate everything about it.

Punk-Less like music more like talentless sound.

Its stupid how people say "pop". All pop means is popular. Saying they hate pop means they hate everything popular and everything that was popular like Zeppelin, The Beatles and bands like that.

The worst genres in my opinion would be:

Pop-punk: Pretty much defined as Punk with all the best elements taken out of it

Grunge: Nirvana was a great band and all but the other Grunge bands pretty much wrecked Grunge

I fucking hate Blink182 and all its minions. Does that music have a name? Retard Rock?

xlol you attacked an individual band!

I have to add techno to my list. Especially 90's techno, repetitive synth (not even on good voices like starlight) and without good vocals to make up for it.

LOL, like the metalhead culture is something to be proud of

Yeah lots of people make fun of Metalheads. They say they cut, and a lot of made up shit, most Metalheads act like normal people. I mean I do, I dunno about any of you guys.

In order from worse to less worse

1.Mainstream rap: obvious reasons, I find this music very irritating to listen to.
2.Pop-punk/post-hardcore which is mistaken for as "emo": Most of the bands are just a bunch of whiny tools thta are popular because of their looks.
3.Nu-metal: The music is boring, and the lyrics are pathetic. nuff said.
4.Metalcore/deathcore/and all of it's other deviant forms: See #2.
5.Grunge: Aside from Alice in Chains, I really do not like this genre at all.

Meh. All music that is uninspired and contrived would be what I'd consider the 'lowest'. There is generally good & bad in every genre. Except for maybe Happy Hardcore & Reggaeton.

I would disagree.

I think 'Pop music', which is what all those who listed 'pop' meant, is now a style, characterised by simple to follow melodies and predictable progressions and structures. It would include some of the Beatles stuff but probably doesn't include Zeppelin. It doesn't just mean whatever is popular. For example, Metallica is popular but certainly isn't pop.

I agree,Though it stands for popular doesn't mean the genre consists of popular bands.I've always thought of it as bands that are vocal based, or solely tries to make those "catchie" hits.

in 1991 you could hear metallica on the same stations playing new kids on the block and madonna

The only music i can't stand is all that hardcare dance shite, i pretty much like all other forms of music....oh and Radiohead...the most horribly dull and annoying band on the planet

Basically all mainstream music now-a-days.

But if I had to pick one out? New rap/hip-hop.

Old rap I actually like. There was a message behind it.

Now it's

"I got so many bitches that my blackness is bitching up my hoes g".

Yeah, I'd say in order of worst to best of all genres in modern mainstream it would be

Rap/Hip-Hop
Country
Rock
Techno
R&B

R&B is the best in the mainstream in my opinion because you have talented vocalists.
