Out of all the gendered stereotypes I hear about, the one stereotype that seems to be true more often than not is that gay men are uppers and gay women are downers.

Simply put, lesbians seem to always be so miserable (granted, misery is a shared commodity) and I'm wondering what's up with that?

Are they blue balls 24/7 because the female orgasm is like a specialised trade that takes effort and caring to master for their partners and since lesbians are with other women, neither of them are selfless enough to fully satisfy the other?
