Am I the only one who thinks Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Tim Hortons all have coffee that is at the very least decent?

If people cared enough to be informed or were able to think critically about their choices those awful places wouldn't exist, and we'd have more options. Now those places don't care anymore; they won.
Around the east village in nyc there is a Starbucks across the street from another Starbucks. It's psychotic.
I like those indie shops but the people that work there are such dicks. The girls make up for it though.

It's like that in Harvard Square, but I agree that the best places are not chains, or else very small chains, such as the Java House in Iowa City, where they brew your coffee right in front of you, letting it drip into your cup.

I brew Folger's Columbian very heavy and regularly get complements on the aroma. Every bit as good as Dunkin's and way better than Starbucks. Don't know why people pay so much money for that trash. Brewing your own > Paying per cup.

My preferred coffee is grinding up some whole bean or getting some nice Gevalia, and making it in my french press. And of course I drink all coffee black.

I get Green Mountain Coffee at a local store and it taste fine. I only go to Starbucks if I have a gift card.

Starbucks and DnD are crap. Never had the other one. Peets is the way to go if you're gonna go with a chain. Some of their beans are divine.

Starbucks is crap. Dunkin is decent, and by Dunkin I'm referring to buying the beans/grounds yourself and brewing. Buying it from the store or from a Hess station or something is not even remotely the same.
If you absolutely have to get coffee on the go, outside of whatever your indie coffee shop of choice is, the place to stop is at a Pilot Travel Center, or maybe a TA (Travel America travel center). Loves or Petros are ok but less dependable on consistency. Just about anything else you get on the go is going to be coffee-ish flavored piss water. Or if it's Starbucks, it's just burnt dreg tasting.

Come on dude, you've been here long enough. You should know how this stuff works. The darkest, assholest tasting beer = the best. Only true metal accepted. Only blackest ov the black coffee accepted. I've noticed pretty much everything on this website is distorted reality from every other human being I've actually came into contact with.
I actually like black coffee, but with just enough sugar to make it bittersweet. Do I occasionally go for the frozen coffee with a fuckton of sugar and whipped cream and whole milk and caramel drizzled on top? You bet your ass I do.

Folger's is the shit. I don't care what the fucking coffee snobs say. I will take that over Starbucks any fucking day of the week.
I have a Keurig so I try different coffees and I like the Pike's Place Roast enough to keep buying it. There are other superior coffees though.

I get this at times, but without the coffee. Worth the money more than something I can brew in a superior fashion at home. I also occasionally eat some 85% DC with my heavy brewed black Columbian. Either way, I am still ov kvlt status.

My favorite coffee is when you go to the gas station and fill up a huge fucking 40oz cup with whatever shitty dark bean/Columbian concoction they have for cheap and drink the fuck out of that.
