It actually made me think that men are starting to get a lot more understanding and comfortable with what makes men sexually appealing. Much like how bi-curiosity among women has become commonplace, it seems like things are heading this way for men too. It seems possible to me that when you have a culture that less frequently throws around "gay" and "fag" as common insults to refer to things that are lame, things that actually do suggest homosexuality are less taboo. It's interesting how things seemed to have changed in the past couple of years especially.
I use the word "seems" frequently because I'm talking about my limited experience and exposure to the culture at large.
