I have a gay friend now and am hoping the thing about gay men having a lot of hot female friends is true. He actually told me he was interested in me and thought I might have been gay (although he admitted that he first thought I was Mormon, lol) and even though I have homosexual leanings he isn't my type so I said I was hetero. I've been doing pretty good on OKC all of a sudden. Weird. Hopefully getting coffee with a girl here soon and then teaching her how to play some guitar. Only problem is that she's 19 and I generally stay away from girls that can't get a pint with me. There's no fun there.

Do you actually often try dating? I should probably just go through your post history in this thread, but I actually am mystified why a sexy and clever studman like yourself has such difficulties (unless it's just your impeccable standards). In other news, I think reading about evolutionary psychology is making me misogynistic. The author of this book is talking about the intricacies of how female apes manipulate male apes, and all I can think is "what the fuck does this imply for a species that's far more intelligent? I obviously don't know because I'm male, and most of my experiences with females are my mother I don't get along with and my sister who was pretty damn bitchy growing up."
Perhaps men do need to keep women in line, and that's why the divorce rate is so high. Women's primate brains are going "this man not dominant enough. Me must look more." However, society has placed the evil death blanket over the dominance that would normally win a woman over. So women are afraid of what they want in men, and so they don't have it.

One of the reasons why I like the movie The Night Porter is that the facial expressions Charlotte Rampling puts on in that movie, particularly when the S&M is going down remind me totally of the way a certain girl used to look at me, in university. I'm sure she was some kind of an insatiable nymph. Not the horrendous abrasive prostitute type, just some shy sweety who needed it. She was always wandering around in the places I went to and looking at me expectantly. I've never met a happy and/or pleasant married woman who "wore the pants". I've met plenty of capable women who are very independent *outside* their relationships but who married some sort of a "mans man", and I don't mean merely a burly asshole. Guys both commanding and caring.
