Following three very special U.S. appearances earlier this month in Baltimore, Philadelphia and New York (effectively breaking their streak of visa issues), Swedish black metal battalion MARDUK will return for a full North American headlining tour this November. The band will be joined by NACHTMYSTIUM, MANTIC RITUAL, MERRIMACK and BLACK ANVIL (on select dates).

Dubbed U.S. Plague Tour 2009, the trek will kick off on November 20 at the Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts and run through 21 more dates before coming to a close in New York City on December 16 at the Gramercy Theater, where the band recently played to an overwhelming crowd response.

MARDUK's eleventh album, "Wormwood", will be released in the U.S. on October 13 via Regain Records. The CD, which will be made available in Europe on September 24, was recorded at Endarker Studios in Norrköping, Sweden with engineer/producer Magnus Devo Andersson. The album's release will be followed by a world tour, dubbed "Funeral Nation 2009/2010", which will kick off in Europe.

I'll probably make the Chicago show. Was supposed to see them with Mayhem at house of blues, show was pretty much crap untill Mayhem played.
 
Same here (but in Denver). Cephalic Carnage should not have been on that bill for any reason whatsoever.

Yeah, I was sort of confused as to how that made sense to anyone.
Then again wasn't Cattle Decapitation also supposed to be on that tour? :lol: They filled it with these local chicago bands and one had an electric violin and the guy reminded me of jack black. I'll never forget when he tried to get the crowd to start a circle pit, "come on! we heard you Mayhem fans were some crazy people, I think you guys should show us some of that. Lets see a circle!" The crowd sorta just stood there and stared.
