Guys just make sure you cook the beef for ages. I cooked mine for too short a period of time because I didn't take into account the fact that I had put more beef in than the recipe suggested. I blame massive tiredness.

To be sure. The recipe I used called for only an hour-and-a-half of simmering, but I cooked it longer.
