Well, everyone has their own opinions... I really don't care in which genre CoB fits, at least I like their music and that's enough for me.

1)Of course CoB have some Death Metal influences, but only some.

2)Edguy are symphonic power metal. A classic power metal band is Helloween

3)Metallica (kill em all) is tech-thrash, not speed.

4)I don't like you

5)Fuck you !!

6)Who do you think you are?

CoB created a new sound which is definitely not Melodeath, or Black metal.

in technical terms it is Symphotic Speed Metal w/ Harsh Vocals, a sort of spoken mix of death/blackish sound.

Its obvious that CoB share some of the speed metal riffism's done by Agent Steel, Iron Angel, Yngwie's Rising Force, Gamma Ray, Meliah Rage, Exciter & The Like...

since fucking when is Metallica speed metal? they we're American Thrash influenced by Diamond Head... and Euro bands always did sound different than american ones (Destruction vs say... Exodus or Heathen for example)

and so, Symphotic Speed Metal w/ Harsh Vocals and more Fret Wankery than you can fit into a single Yngwie album... ok maybe not that far...

but still, some other bands doing it like: Norther, Skyfire, Throne of Chaos ... Kaliban, Ensiferum (Kaliban and Ensiferum being more folk/viking version of it think CoF meets Finntroll... sorta) & Kalmah are all fuckin' great.

ofcourse... you could be a loser and call it 'Bodom Metal'
