Well, I've used a few guitar emulator programs, so I'm interested to hear the Boogie pre. I wonder if it has little "touches" like balanced i/o, or variable imp on the input. It would be nice to get one of these for stage use also, because I'm willing to get you could get that "boogie" sound out of it without it being too loud. I use a pod pro for recording now, and you know what? I've found that I can get the best tone out of the 1x8 speaker emulator. Very "...Like an everflowing stream". I don't know if the speaker emulation (although the boogie is a totally analog unit, so I don't know how they simulate, not model speakers in the analog domain) is good, but this might sound good into a small power amp, into a small speaker. Very "Slaugter of the Soul" when a few tracks are down. Tight and brutal, but not something that you would want live.
