I'm actually selling my Mesa Recto Pre.. if anyone is interested...

thing is practically brand new... not even any rack rash on it... I got it in a trade for mixing some songs... its got everything with it.. sounds KILLER through a poweramp... I haven't messed with it enough via direct recording to judge it... plugged it in and got decent tone.. nothing to be proud of, but what can you expect with 3 minutes of messing around with it?

anyway... it has probably a total of 6 hours on it... DEFINITELY not more than 10 hours...

also i have a marshall 9200 dual mono block power amp that id sell with it.
Very nice sound from these combined just dont use them much anymore the mesa sound isnt really my thing.

No. not stolen. My friend bought it from the Mesa Store in Hollywood and he never used it... and now that he has moved back to Connecticut, he has no one to help him mix/record... so he offered it to me in exchange for mixing some songs for his new band... because he's a drummer and he doesnt really know anything about guitar stuff... he just bought it because I was talking about buying it...

anyway... not stolen. I might even be able to get all the paperwork from him on it... or have him mail it to whomever buys it...

I'm selling it because i need a new laptop more than i need the recording pre.

I need to know what solo sound can I get from the Mesa and how much gain it can produce.

Hi,

there is Vintage mode, MESA Recording Preamp. Gain is 3/4 not max. Direct recorded, Guitar Vintage V100 - EMG 81.
Very little EQ and reverb makeup.
